The Student Well-being Committee is a group of students, staff, and faculty working together to address student health and well-being. The SWBC is driven by student ideas and initiatives, with the goal of opening dialogues to improve student experiences.
The 5 current working topics of the SWBC are the following:
- Communication
- Stress and mental health, general wellness
- Building condition, comfort, and safety
- Technology and fabrication
- Structure and culture of the School
The Azrieli School Student Well-being Committee is trying to collect student feedback to open a dialogue and to improve student experiences. This is a tool for conversation. Information will be shared and discussed.
The role of this portal is to understand student experience and gather data in order to, as best we can, serve the students at the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism and support your well-being needs. There is no guarantee that we can resolve or act upon all the suggestions and feedback given, however, our aim is to gather information from our students in order to make informed decisions moving forward.

How could student well-being be improved at the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism? You can consider broad areas of improvement in terms of well-being and mental health programs, make suggestions for new extracurricular programs or tutorials, speak to conditions of the physical or working environment at the school, etc. Please be as specific as you desire.

For your studies in Architecture, aim to purchase a laptop with a powerful CPU (at least a 6-core Intel i7 or equivalent), 16GB of RAM (expandable to 32GB or more), a dedicated NVIDIA RTX graphics card, a 1TB SSD, and a 15”/16″ or larger display. (We strongly recommend a Laptop PC over a Mac System. Windows Operating System is generally preferred for architecture software compatibility.)

Screen/Display
- Minimum: 15.6/16″ or Higher FHD/UHD Display.
- Recommended: 16″ or larger.
- Why: A larger display allows for better visualization of large models and plans.
Processor (CPU)
- Minimum: Intel Core i7 13th Gen or AMD Ryzen 7.
- Recommended: Intel Core i9 or AMD Ryzen 9.
- Why: Architecture software and 3D modeling tasks are CPU-intensive, so a powerful processor is crucial for smooth performance.
RAM Memory
- Minimum: 16GB DDR5.
- Recommended: 32GB or more.
- Why: Architecture software and large projects require ample RAM to handle complex models and simulations.
Internal Hard Drive Minimum: 500GB SSD
- Recommended: 1TB SSD or more.
- Why: SSDs provide significantly faster boot times and application loading compared to traditional hard drives.
- **(Also –An external hard drive is recommended for backup purposes)
Graphics Card (GPU)
- Minimum: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4GB GDDR6.
- Recommended: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 or higher.
- Why: A dedicated graphics card is essential for rendering 3D models and handling demanding graphics tasks.
Wireless Card
- Built-in default wireless
Other Considerations:
*Operating System: Windows is generally preferred for architecture software compatibility.
** An external hard drive is importantfor Data Backup and Security but also increased storage capacity
***Ports: Ensure the laptop has sufficient USB-A and/or USB-C ports for connecting peripherals and displays.Lastly, if possible –protect your purchase: by getting an extended warranty (1–4 years)

The Fab Lab offers a variety of services to assist students with their projects. These services include poster printing, laser cutting, CNC machining, sewing & embroidery, vinyl cutting, scanning, 3D printing, and loaning photography equipment.
