Students, faculty, and practitioners are invited to join a conversation around service, engagement and outreach in architecture schools.  

The hosts are Ozayr Saloojee (Carleton University). Vedanta Balbahadur (McGill University Nene Brode (University of Toronto) Diogo Burnay (Dalhousie University) Vincent Hui (Toronto Metropolitan University), and Kai Wood Mah (Laurentian University).

What and how do we ethically work with and learn from communities, community partners, collaborators, and institutions?  How do we model ethical and design justice in these partnerships for architectural teaching, for student experience, and community benefits?  What are the challenges and opportunities for service, engagement and outreach with these programs and initiatives?  

The workshop will host three speakers — Chris Basiw. Ra’anaa Brown, and Clara James — for 15-minute presentations followed by breakout sessions to expand the conversations around these questions and more.
