Maria Cook, Hon. MRAIC, is a communications professional and former journalist who has specialized in architecture and urbanism for the past 20 years. She is the former director of communications for the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. Previously, she worked as an award-winning staff journalist at three daily newspapers: the Ottawa Citizen, the Winnipeg Free Press, and the Toronto Sun.
