Azrieli Scholar Award

Awarded annually by the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, on the recommendation of the Director of the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism, to outstanding graduate students who are entering or proceeding from one year to another in the Masters of Architecture program at Carleton University. Endowed in 2008 by David J. Azrieli and the Azrieli Foundation.

Azrieli Scholars are chosen following an essay competition often linked with the Master thesis. Details of the competition are announced annually. This award is valued at $1,000-1,500 per student. Value may vary.

Canadian Architect Student Award of Excellence (*External Award)

Since 1967, Canadian Architect has sponsored an annual national awards program recognizing future projects. Each year, submissions are due in September, judging takes place in October and the winning schemes are published in a special issue every December. Student Awards of Excellence are also awarded for final-year projects by Canadian architecture students. The Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism nominees are selected based on demonstrated excellence in their respective M.Arch Thesis projects.

Students must apply. This award is valued at $500.
