ASAU PhD Student Travel Funding

2024-25 PhD Student Travel Funding Application

During the 2024-25 fiscal year, each PhD student is eligible to receive up to $1,000 toward one trip pertaining to either a conference or for research related to their dissertation. Students can apply for this year’s funding between May 1st 2024 to April 15th 2025. Students will only be considered for funding if they apply prior to travel taking place. Approval from the student’s supervisor, one PhD Chair and the School Director are required. Upon completion and submission of this form, applicants will need to request approvals via e-mail from each approver. Upon full approval of the application, Concur (https://carleton.ca/travel/) will be used by students to issue funds via a report (an expense claim) or a request (travel advance). Students are responsible for retaining and submitting all receipts (including boarding passes) related to their travel. Students must be in-program at the time of application and travel in order to be considered. Requests to access funds from a prior fiscal year will not be considered.
