Preference will be given to students enrolled in IBI’s core sectors — infrastructure, buildings, and intelligence. They must also demonstrate commitment to community leadership in advancing social equity or outstanding contributions to the Black community.

Students must be enrolled at Carleton in the 2022-23 academic year. The funds will be distributed in Summer 2022.

IBI Group is a global architecture, engineering, planning, and technology company.

“This scholarship is one of many  IBI Group programs aimed at increasing internal gender representation and diversity and in turn fostering an environment where everyone is encouraged to be themselves and achieve a sense of belonging,” according to the company website.

“The IBI Group wants to reward Black students for their scholastic achievements, while introducing them to the vast opportunities at  IBI Group upon graduation,” it says.

“IBI Group will consider candidates using objective criteria, having due regard for the benefits of diversity and the needs of the business.”
