Assoc. Prof. Lisa Moffitt shows work at Enriched Bread Artists Open Studio

Associate Professor Lisa Moffitt is among 18 artists participating in the Enriched Bread Artists 29th Open Studio.
The free public event takes place over two weekends: October 23-24 and October 30-31, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 951 Gladstone Avenue in Ottawa.

Dr. Moffitt has about 35 drawings and prints on view. Progress work on display includes mixed-media experiments ranging from silkscreen prints to fieldwork photographs to hybrid digital/ink mappings.
The work explores dialogues between fleeting, fluid environmental phenomena and monocultural agricultural landscapes surrounding the site of a current architectural project in Prince Edward County.

Moffitt will be at the studio on Saturday, October 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The other participating artists are Sarah Anderson, Marije Bijl, Heidi Conrod, Kristina Corre, Maren Kathleen Elliott, Sayward Johnson, Gayle Kells, Patricia Kenny, Karina Kraenzle, Juliana McDonald, Jenny McMaster, Bozica Radjenovic, Daniel Sharp, Svetlana Swinimer, Tavi Weisz, Joyce Westrop, and Yvonne Wiegers.

About Lisa Moffitt
Dr. Lisa Moffitt’s design, research, and teaching are prompted by a deep compulsion to make things that question how architecture materially alters, impacts, and constructs new environments in light of climate change.
These include paintings, photographs, buildings, installations, speculative design projects, physical models, and environmental instruments.
Moffitt founded her design practice, Studio Moffitt, in 2008 after working as a senior designer at PLANT Architect in Toronto.
Before joining the Azrieli School of Architecture & Urbanism, she was a tenured academic at the University of Edinburgh.
