Announcing the Inaugural Recipient of the Barbara A. Humphreys Memorial Scholarship
The legacy of Barbara Humphreys at Carleton includes the establishment of the Barbara A. Humphreys Reading Room in the former Technical Data Room (TDR) in the Architecture Building.
Humphreys, of Manotick, ON, was one of the first women architects in Canada, a pioneer in the heritage and conservation movement, and a teacher to generations of architecture students at Carleton University. She died in 2017 at the age of 97.
