Project Description

The HOUGH LANDSCAPE aims to create an active public space that encourages community members to revitalize their neighborhood while protecting wildlife and the natural environment of the Hough Community. The project includes selected sites consisting of several small vacant lots located at the intersection of Hough Ave and East 86 street in Cleveland. To realize the selected programs on the site, the series of “Natural Mounds” integrated with the Hough landscape are situated to create “pockets” that provide flexible programs for all year round. The secondary structure of this project is a set of toolkits that provides a sense of ownership and flexibility to the users.
