Deconstructed Honeycombs

Studio: ARCS 1005 – Drawing

Project Description

Based off an original abstract architectural model, this project highlights and layers the multiple perspectives visible only through close examination. Created on mylar paper, this recto verso drawing shows the physical structure, touch points, and shadows from a bird’s eye view. Line thickness illustrates the depth of each layer from the surface. The golden marbled watercolour depicts honey flowing from a honeycomb and conveys a sense of fluidity and movement in an otherwise rigid geometric form.
