Sinan Husic recently completed his Master of Architecture degree at the Azrieli School. His research thesis, Thinking and Making – Digital Craft Hybridity, explores thinking through problems by making — using both digital and analog methods in the design and manufacture of a 3D printed concrete chair.S

He is currently leading the CSALT lab’s 3D printing facilities with research involving the optimization of Ultra-High-Performance Concrete mixes for extrusion-based 3D printing. The research includes large-scale clay printing, utilizing scripting for novel tool path generation.

Sinan received his BAS from the University of Waterloo in 2018 and has worked in architecture firms across Southern Ontario and Ottawa. He has been involved in large public infrastructure projects, Passive House projects, higher education buildings, and homes.

He has taken part in data capture of the Centre Block, using photogrammetry and laser scanning to assemble hyper-realistic virtual models of the building.
